Accessibility at Movement Research - 122 Community Center

Movement Research Studios and Offices located at 122 Community Center are accessible spaces. Located on the first floor, our two studios – Courtyard and Ninth Street – are wheelchair and mobility device accessible. The second-floor office is accessible by elevator.

Studios Measurements:
Ninth Street Studio – 2250 sq ft. (approximately 26′ x 86′)
Courtyard Studio – 960 sq ft. (approximately 21.5′ x 43′)

Restrooms: Restrooms are wheelchair/mobility devices accessible and are all-gender.

Service Animals: Movement Research and 122CC are welcoming to individuals with service animals. Under the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), a service animal is defined as a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The task(s) performed by the dog must be directly related to the person’s disability.

Parking: Parking space is not available at this time. Please visit East Village Parking for parking lots near 122CC.

Public Transportation:
 Closest Accessible Subway Stations (with elevators): 1 Av L train. All subway and bus connections are subject to planned and unplanned service work. Please visit MTA Accessible Stations and Elevator and Escalator Status page for daily updates.

Accessibility Services

We are currently offering American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation and Audio Description for Classes, Workshops, and conversation Events upon request. Accessibility Services can be requested two to three weeks in advance by emailing, accessibility@movementresearch.org.
