MELT Intensives are a series of daily workshops in technique, somatics, improvisation, composition and other areas offered each summer (5 weeks) and winter (3 weeks). Taught by Movement Research’s internationally recognized faculty as well as acclaimed guest artists, these workshops provide students with the unique opportunity to engage with some of the most highly regarded and innovative artists in the field of dance today.

Tuition

Registering for full weeks saves you significant amounts of money:

$1350 for 5 full weeks, 10am-6pm, (15 workshops, a savings of $525)
$1125 for 4 full weeks, 10am-6pm, (12 workshops, a savings of $375)
$875 for 3 full weeks, 10am-6pm, (9 workshops, a savings of $245)
$625 for 2 full weeks, 10am-6pm, (6 workshops, a savings of $125)
$320 for 1 full week, 10am-6pm, (3 workshops, a savings of $55)

Individual workshops cost $120-$135.

Payment in full reserves your spot in any workshop or package enrollment. For packages, you may also make a deposit to reserve your spot.

Housing
Movement Research does not provide housing. Recommended housing options include: CAVE Art Space, which provides a special discount for artists studying with Movement Research and can be contacted via http://www.cavearts.org/?p=39 or studio@caveartspace.org, the Movement Research Facebook page housing discussion, www.studenthousing.org, www.craigslist.org, www.nyhabitat.com, or www.stephaniediamond.com/listings. We encourage students and those with housing available to become our friends on Facebook and post on our housing discussion board.

refund policy: Refunds will be available for individual workshops until 1 week before start of workshop minus a $50 processing fee per workshop. For week-based package enrollment, refunds will be available until 1 week before start of full enrollment, minus a $75 processing fee. Refunds cannot be given if notice is not received as stated. Credit towards future classes and workshops may be extended in the event of illness or injury. All refund and credit requests must be made in writing.
