John Jasperse has been living and working as a dance artist in New York City since 1985. Throughout that time, he has maintained an evolving relationship with Movement Research, and he is delighted to return to share work at MR at the Judson Church. The work of John Jasperse Projects has been presented here in NYC as well as by many other festivals and venues in the US and internationally. Joining Jasperse in this showing will be performing collaborators Vicky Shick, Jodi Melnick, Cynthia Koppe, Maria Fleischman, and Jace Weyant. Some of this material was created with Allysen Hooks. Jasperse is co-founder of Center for Performance Research in Brooklyn and Director of the Dance Program at Sarah Lawrence College.
